Stories Stored

First in the series of ‘burnay’ from my mom’s ancestral region in northern Luzon. These are unglazed earthen-ware, traditionally used for cooking over fire, or to store water, fermented fish sauce, salt, rice, flour or other essentials. If these jars could tell stories, they would be able to tell us a whole lot about ourselves.
