Feminist art is not some tiny creek running off the great river of real art. It is not some crack in an otherwise flawless stone. It is, quite spectacularly I think, art which is not based on the subjugation of one half of the species.

I saw this video on the  website of  Feminist Art Coalition . It is an excerpt of an argument made by feminist art historian Julia Bryan-Wilson about the strategic practice of art to effect change . PBS learning media produces free videos, interactive media and lesson plans for teachers, on many subjects. They have short learning videos about art and social justice which I find really helpful and inspiring.
